What is an inspection report?

An inspection report provides a summary of the home and its attributes - both positive and negative. It includes photos of the home taken during the inspection and should give you the information you need to make an informed decision about the home.

 

Do I need to be present for the inspection?

While it’s not required, you can learn a lot by being present. You will gain a better understanding of the home's condition, which will give you insight into its potential sale points and defects. Additionally, you will likely learn information about the home's maintenance, systems, and components.

What is a home inspection NOT?

It is not guaranteed to identify concealed defects. It is not able to determine the market value of the home. It is not concerned with aesthetics or matters of taste. It is not a county code inspection. It is not technically exhaustive. It is not a certification of the home or its components.
